The Everest region is located in the northeast of Nepal. The 10-day walk through the middle hills of Solu to the higher altitudes of Khumbu to the base of Sagarmatha, or Mt. Everest, the world's highest peak, is an opportunity to observe and participate in the daily life of the legendary Sherpa people. The Everest or Khumbu region is considered the most famous of all treks. The region is home to the world's highest mountains including Mt. Everest (8850 m), Cho Oyu (8153 m), Lhotse (8511 m), Nuptse (7879), Makalu (8470 m), Ama Dablam (6856) and many other innumerable peaks. This is the most concentrated mountain region where more than 200 peaks are higher than 6000m. You will start the journey to Everest region by flying from Kathmandu to Lukla airstrip and then the trek begins same day up to Phakding.
This region is also well known for legendary Sherpa people, Buddhist monasteries, the thousand-year old monastery of Tengboche, Alpine Khumbu valley, crystal lakes and diverse flora & fauna.
